Saudi academic calendar

The Saudi academic calendar includes 3 semesters, unlike most other Arab countries, where one academic year includes two semesters. The calendar is officially announced by the Ministry of Education, as it is the body responsible for this sector within the Kingdom. The calendar includes several long weekends in addition to a holiday between every two semesters.
